About the department
Malmö University’s Communication Department works with external and internal communication, strategically and operatively. It plans, creates and evaluates communication according to the needs of the University and its various target groups.
This includes internal support in matters related to communication, student recruitment and marketing, PR work, research communication and activities related to the collaboration between the University and society.
The department is a part of the joint administration of the University and has just over 20 employees.
As a key member of a team responsible for English language communication, you will largely be required to edit and proofread content for various media and audiences. In addition, the job will entail writing texts for both internal and external communication.
Based in the heart of the University campus, you will work in a lively communications office but on occasion will be required to engage with both our thriving international student community and teaching staff of our English-taught programmes.
To succeed in this role you must be a versatile and proficient writer with professional fluency in English.
You should have a degree in a field relevant to the position, such as communication, journalism, English or linguistics and will have previously worked in editing and/or communication in English. Experience with web editing is required, and you should be familiar with using various social media channels. The successful candidate will be self-sufficient and able to prioritise and manage their workload to meet deadlines as well as be a willing and capable team player.
Being able to communicate in Swedish is not a requirement for this position, but would be of benefit.

Form of employment
The position is a full-time, twelve month temporary position. Starting date is negotiable. Malmö University applies individual salary negotiations.
