Background

Polypure AS is a technologically advance company that specializes in producing high value bioactive polymers for specialized markets including the pharmaceutical market.  Polypure AS is innovative, has minimal bureaucracy in its operations and focuses on quality in all its products.

Polypure AS is looking for a commercial minded individual with scientific background to expand and strengthen the commercial and distribution operations of Polypure’s current and new products.

The role of the candidate will be to build long term partnerships develop opportunities and negotiate contracts as means of growing the commercial interest of the company. 

The position is an exciting opportunity to work in an innovative and dynamic small sized company with an ambition to become a global leader in supplying important intermediates. The candidate will have a strong impact on the company’s strategies and future development.

Key responsibilities:

  • Identify and collaborate with new and potential distributors, customers, and other partners to address their needs related to Polypure products and capabilities.
  • Work closely with distributors and other customers to better forecast production needs to ensure timely supply in a dynamic environment.
  • Actively expand Polypure’s network, customer base and other potential collaborators, based on intimate understanding of customer needs and the value proposition of Polypure products.
  • Set up marketing strategies and drive marketing in physical and digital channels.
  • Contribute to shaping Polypure’s strategic direction, drive commercial initiatives, and establish new contracts to propel the company toward its goals. 

Qualifications and experience:

The applicant should have the following documented qualifications and experience:

  • MSC or equivalent in a relevant life science discipline. Formal education can be replaced by extensive practical experience.
  • Minimum 5 years hands-on experience in the life science industry, including working with external parties andbuilding partnerships and and work associated with “technical sales”.
  • Experience in working with distributors and CDMO’s is an advantage.
  • Good understanding of pharma product and drug development. Being familiar with the regulations governing the drug development process is an advantage.
  • The candidate must have good skills in English, both oral and in writing. Working knowledge in Norwegian is an advantage.
  • A successful candidate must excel at collaborating effectively within a multidisciplinary team as well as the ability to work independently. They should possess self-drive, a systematic approach, and the capability to deliver projects and tasks. Furthermore, the candidate should thrive in engaging with external parties, recognizing the mutual benefits of collaborations, and driving toward mutually advantageous agreements.

Location

The holder of this position will be based at Polypure AS, TechnoPolis, Martin Linges vei 25, 1364 Fornebu. The position will report to the CEO.
