Niklas Klingenberg, Head of TRATON GROUP R&D, is looking for a new Technical Assistant to support him in his Areas of responsibility in operative as well as strategic questions within TRATON GROUP R&D.

TRATON GROUP R&D offers this position in Södertälje, for the right candidate we can offer assignment or relocation services.

Group R&D
We are entering the implementation and operation phase, where we will become an even stronger Group by completing the establishment of a worldwide Group R&D organization. We will set ourselves up to be able to fully deliver the time-critical Group R&D roadmap and to fulfil the high expectations to deliver outstanding customer value and drive effectiveness. This enables us to secure competitiveness in our business, in other words win market positions and ensure Group R&D is a strong business partner for TRATON Group and the brands.

The position
In this role you will be an important part in supporting our Head of Group R&D and his Management Team in building something new. As we are in our building phase this will require a special type of creativity and solution orientation to set things in motion. This position gives you a great opportunity to a flying start of understanding all our brands’ R&D structures and at the same time contribute to our transformation journey to ONE strong Group.

Your Tasks

• Support the Head of Group R&D and the Management Team in all his responsibilities.
• Act as the point of contact between the Group R&D Area Heads and internal & external colleagues
• Support a well-functioning governance in this newly created organization and being responsible for the process, preparation, alignment and minutes of the Group R&D Management Meetings
• Preparation of TRATON Group R&D events, Focus Days etc.
• Prepare internal and external presentations by creating, gathering and verifying content
• Independent and responsible execution of strategic and operational special tasks/ projects
• Monitoring and organizing list of follow-ups and to-do items. Thereby prioritizing and managing multiple projects and actions simultaneously
• Close cooperation with managers and assistants within the group
• Proactive initiation of measures (e.g. uniform documents, process descriptions, committee landscape) to optimize the communication flow and information channels

Your profile
You have managerial experience and proven leadership skills as well as functional experience from R&D in at least one of the brands. Furthermore you have a good network within TRATON Group and understand the business in all brands.

In this role you need to drive different topics and steer projects independently, so ability to prioritize and take decisions is of importance. You also need to be creative and manage various levels of challenges within the area of R&D. You further need to have great communication skills and are fluent in English, other languages are a merit.
