What you will do

As Applications Engineer, you will support TAWI and TAWI’s customers, through technical and application support, quoting, design and product knowledge assistance, along with other mechanical engineering functions as necessary.

You will 

  • Design special adaptations and provide technical support for the division's products.
  • Maintain product knowledge and expertise
  • Provide technical support and application support for end customers and distributors via phone, email, and web chat tools
  • Prepare quotes, including information on all system components, accessories, technical data, and CAD drawings
  • Assist the order department with technical support as required
  • Assist in the development, organization and presentation of product training materials, product configurators and tools for sales support
  • Coordinate and communicate all appropriate project activity with Operations Manager
  • Conduct training for distributors and customers as necessary
  • Complete creation of parts, BOM’s and MO’s within the company ERP system 

You will report directly to the Operations Director - North America, Lifting Automation Division. In this role, you are required to act according to the Piab Code of Conduct and know and follow the Piab values, mission, and routines. 

We are looking for

  • Able to multitask, prioritize and manage time efficiently 

Experience and Educational background 

  • Experience using 3D CAD and Solid Works
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or other appropriate design educational background
