Application Engineers are the primary technical resource for the field sales force, partners and our customers. Responsible for support activities in the evaluation stage of the sales process. Working in conjunction with the sales team as the key technical advisor and product advocate, the Application

Engineer must be able to identify, understand, and provide reliable solutions for all technical issues to assure complete customer satisfaction through all stages of the sales process. The Application Engineer must be able to establish and maintain strong relationships throughout the sales cycle.

ACCOUNTABILITIES AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support South Poland as an Application Engineer
• Listen, understand, and convey customer requirements
• Working with partners and customers to understand their specific technical requirements and ensuring that our solutions/products meet their needs.
• Develop and customize solutions to improve applications as needed to optimize performance
• Identify specific customer and client needs, and advise accordingly, giving aftersales support, training, and servicing to them.
• Test possible solutions on customer’s samples to ensure they perform as expected
• Conduct technical product presentations and demonstrations for customers and sales engineers.
• Service at the customer´s site
• Carry out tests in customer facilities and the in-house lab
• Log activities and necessary information into CRM
• Working supporting the Sales department identifying technical requirements, and developing solutions, presentations, quotations, visits, tests, and services.
• Connect with partners to support them with technical knowledge, and training, and help with the follow-up of business (monthly meetings).
• Answer telephone calls and provide prices and deliveries to customers/external sales along with Technical Support as required
• Produce quotations to specification/best practice requirements for relevant products
• Resolve customer issues or difficulties in a manner that is consistent with the company mission, values, and financial objectives

In this role, you are required to act accordingly to the Piab Code of Conduct and know and follow the Piab values, mission, and routines.

This role acquires travel to both Piab and external parties’ global destinations when applicable.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND:

• 1 or 2 years experience as an applications engineer
• Diploma in techniques or Engineering degree (Mechanics, Automation, Robotic etc.).
• Fluent in English, both oral and written
• Familiarity with our industry is a plus
• Familiarity with CRM systems is a plus.
