Job Mission: 

As a Production Engineer, you will play a crucial role in developing and optimizing production processes with a focus on efficiency, quality, and environmental sustainability. You will collaborate with a dynamic team to introduce innovative technologies, coordinate maintenance and retrofit projects, and support the implementation of new process technologies, contributing to our mission of advancing automation.

Location: Piab Vakuum GmbH, Butzbach Germany

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Development and optimization of production processes with a focus on efficiency, quality, and environmental sustainability
  • Close collaboration with internal departments, as well as external partners and suppliers, to introduce innovative technologies and optimize process workflows
  • Support in the implementation of new process technologies and monitoring of production operations
  • Planning and coordination of maintenance and retrofit projects involving automation technology
  • Creating and updating instructions and train the employees
  • Potentially taking over a production area depending on the skill set

 

PREFERED COMPETENCIES 

Essentials:

  • Strong knowledge in mechanics, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems.
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills to tackle complex challenges.
  • Confident demeanor, strong communication skills, and teamwork ability with a high degree of customer orientation.
  • Fluent in both written and spoken German and English.

Nice to have:

  • Experience in 3D design and proficiency with CAD systems.
  • Proficiency with MRP/ERP systems.
  • Initial experience with 3D printing production equipment and automation projects.

 

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION: 

  • Minimum of 2 to 3 years of relevant experience required.
  • Successfully completed a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, Production Engineering, or a related field.
  • At a minimum, a completed apprenticeship as a Plant Mechanic, Industrial Mechanic, or a comparable technical qualification.
