Sustainable investing directs capital to companies that seek to combat climate change, environmental destruction and poverty while promoting corporate responsibility. We offer an internship in a Portfolio Management for the period 1.2.-31.5.2022, at our Helsinki office.
The aim of the Trainee programme is to find enthusiastic students for Evli who can bring new innovative perspectives to the workplace and develop their own professional skills. We pay great attention to personal qualities and skills, as we aim to hire motivated future top talent whenever possible, either immediately after the programme or later after graduation.
The team and work tasks
You are to work closely with Equity Fund Manager. You are to be part of a diverse fund management team within wealth management unit.
As a trainee, you are to gather information and conduct fundamental research on companies operating in different regions and different sectors. The focus is on evaluating company from sustainable investment perspective. You are to participate in the development of investment ideas as part of a team. You are to contribute to the production of client materials and to assist Portfolio Manager in daily work. The working language is English.
Keys to success
We expect you to be analytical, proactive, and systematic. Interest in sustainable investing is appreciated. We also expect you to have:
- Genuine interest in equity investing and financial markets
- Ability to work independently, self-initiative and a desire to learn and improve
- Good social skills and a customer-service mindset
- Excellent IT skills
- Excellent oral and written Finnish and English language skills (Swedish language abilities will be considered as an advantage).
We expect you to have an academic background from finance, economics, accounting, mathematics, or industrial business. Studies related to environmental and/or social responsibility and responsible/sustainable investing will be consider as an advantage.
