The position is a temporary employment of maximum 3 years.

The research team in neuroengineering at MDU is looking for a post-doctoral researcher to work within the research project NeuroTrust, a multidisciplinary project focusing on reliable Brain-Computer Interfaces for rehabilitation after stroke.

Stroke affects around 25,000 people in Sweden every year and severe motor disabilities are common. Despite intensive rehabilitation, a large proportion live with permanent disabilities.

As a postdoc, you will work with data collected from the use of cutting-edge neurotechniques for stroke rehabilitation that can directly affect the brain's motor regions and promote the brain's ability to compensate for the stroke-damaged region. The research project is carried out in strong collaboration with Danderyd Hospital, and Karolinska Institutet with the main aim of providing stroke patients with a better quality of life by improving their motor recovery.

More specifically, the work involves multimodal data analysis of collected data from EEG, fMRI and clinical motor tests with focus on the interaction between these data. This will require close contact with collaborators which may involve a lot of travelling to Stockholm.
