Overview of the Role

The SEI Oxford Centre's office is in Osney Mead, Oxford, and currently has 12 staff. We are looking for an enthusiastic and friendly person to support the Centre Director and manage the everyday activities of the office and support the research and finance teams.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Support to the Centre Director with correspondence, files, requests and in liaising with our HQ in Stockholm
• Support with office Health and Safety requirements, eg: health and safety handbook, first aid training, record keeping etc
• Support for Human Resources, eincluding: contracts, staff handbook updates, inductions for new staff, appraisals, maintaining staff records, and potentially joining the global institute HR network
• Support to staff with travel arrangements, supporting visitors, organising meetings and events
• Answering the telephone, and dealing with post and email
• Take accurate and detailed notes at staff meetings
• Informing the accountant of changes to the payroll each month
• Ordering office equipment and purchase of office sundries
• Liaiseing with the office premises’ owner / manager
• Ensure confidentiality at all times
• The post holder may be required to undertake other duties as required.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Experience in administration and personal assistant roles
• Excellent written and oral communications skills (aprovide sample of written work to be provided)
• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent written English
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with confidently with a diverse team and partners around the world
• Able to work to manage and prioritize own workload.
