The Project Communications and Impact Division at SEI is seeking an intern to work with our research teams and assist in event coordination. This role is pivotal in amplifying the impact of our work by engaging with key stakeholders and partners. As intern, your efforts will directly impact our ability to create meaningful and impactful experiences that result in real changes to policy and practice.

What you will do

As an event coordination intern, you will play a key role in assisting with the organization and execution of various events held within our organization. This internship provides an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in event planning, logistics coordination, and creating engaging experiences for our attendees. You will contribute to the success of events ranging from internal learning events to webinars, workshops and conferences.

  • Gain practical experience in event coordination, learning how to plan, organize and deliver various types of events, including internal learning events, workshops, conferences and public engagement activities.
  • Develop adept scheduling skills, ensuring event timelines run smoothly and adhere to pre-established plans.
  • Collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders, including vendors, partners, and participants, to ensure seamless event execution.
  • Support promotional activities and assist in managing social media campaigns to extend our reach.
  • Develop skills in record-keeping and post-event assessments and surveys to inform approaches to enhance future events.

Who you are

You are a student passionate about event planning, climate change and sustainable development.

Skills and experience

  • Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in event planning, logistics, and vendor coordination.
  • Proficiency in English is required, as it is the primary language of our workplace. Knowledge of Swedish is an asset but not required.
  • Previous experience in event planning and coordination is advantageous, but the exact scope of tasks can partly be adapted to suit your skills and interests.
  • You are willing to work in a collaborative environment and have a natural ability to coordinate and drive tasks forward.
