The position

The tasks as a research engineer include running the construction of a biobank where lung diseases and post-covid are to be studied. For the position, a medical degree is required, but not necessarily Swedish identification. However, an education in biomedicine is necessary.

The person we need

We are looking for someone who is safe and stable and with self-awareness. You are persistent and stay motivated until projects are completed. You cooperate well with others and are a good communicator. Furthermore, we see that you work in a structured and efficient manner with a high awareness of quality.

It's a requirement for you to have:

  • Academic degree with basic training as a doctor and master's in biomedicine
  • Work experience as a doctor
  • Laboratory experience
  • Sputum induction
  • Worked with extraction robots
  • Patient inclusions

It is advantageous if you have:

  • Worked with sample processing of induced sputum
  • Documented experience in infectious medicine
  • Documented knowledge of post-covid and epigenetics

The workplace

You will work at the Department of Inflammation and Infection, II.

The group, which consists of 10-15 people with different backgrounds and academic credentials, conducts research on epigenetic changes in lung diseases. The goal of the current study is to develop biomarkers that eventually can be used in healthcare.

The employment

Temporary employment, 1 year. 

Start date by agreement.
