The position
The position involves laboratory work in molecular biology and immunology.
The person we need
We are looking for an applicant with experience using the following techniques:
- Molecular cloning (Gibson assembly)
- Cell editing
- NGS library preparation
- Lentivirus preparation and handling
- RT-qPCR
- Fluorescence microscopy
- Human cell culture
- Computational analysis for NGS data
The following education and skills are required:
- Master’s degree in Biotechnology
- Good ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing
The workplace
The position is located in the Division of Molecular Medicine and Virology (MMV) in Alexa McIntyre’s new research group, focused on RNA in adaptive immunity and autoimmune disease. More information about the activities in the Division of Molecular Medicine and Virology can be found here.
You will work within the larger Department of Biomedical and Clinical Sciences (BKV), which conducts research and education across topics in biomedicine and includes access to core facilities for microscopy and sequencing.
The employment
Temporary employment, full-time.
Starting date: February 2026.
