We are now looking for a PhD student in Automatic Control, at the Department of Electrical Engineering (ISY), to be admitted to the WASP graduate school.

Your work assignments

In this WASP financed project you will be working with statistical object tracking based on acoustic and visual data.  You will be using the current advancements in machine learning based object detection and classification, to maximize the performance and reliability of distributed multi-object tracking.  The project will be carried out in collaboration with WARA-PS (https://portal.waraps.org/).  This gives the possibility to collect and work with unique experimental data to verify the algorithms developed in the project.

Wallenberg AI, Autonomous Systems and Software Program (WASP) is Sweden’s largest individual research program ever, a major national initiative for strategically motivated basic research, education and faculty recruitment. The program addresses research on artificial intelligence and autonomous systems acting in collaboration with humans, adapting to their environment through sensors, information and knowledge, and forming intelligent systems-of-systems.
