Work assignments 

This postdoc position is focused on bullying among children and adolescents. The postdoctoral researcher is expected to develop and conduct quantitative research on school bullying, including collecting and statistically analyzing data, in collaboration with other researchers at the department.

As postdoc, you will principally carry out research. A certain amount of teaching may be part of your duties, up to a maximum of 20% of working hours.

Qualifications

To be qualified to take employment as postdoc, you must have been awarded a doctoral degree or have a foreign degree that is deemed to be equivalent to a doctoral degree. This degree must have been awarded at the latest by the point at which LiU makes its decision to employ you.

It is considered advantageous if your doctoral degree is no older than three years at application deadline for this job. If there are special reasons for having an older doctoral degree – such as taking statutory leave – then these may be taken into consideration.

We are looking for someone with doctoral degree within any of these disciplines or scientific fields: Education, Psychology, Sociology, Public Health Science, Social Work, Educational Work (or Pedagogic Practices) or another related discipline or field.

We also think you should have documented knowledge and experience in conducting research on school bullying among children and adolescents or on adjacent phenomena such as cyberbullying, school violence, peer aggression, peer victimization, harassment or sexual harassment in school or among children and adolescents.

Proficiency in the English language is mandatory for the position.

The workplace

The actual position is formally based at the Division of Education, Teaching and Learning within the Department of Behavioral Sciences and Learning and associated with the research group on school bullying, which is involved in national and international networks and collaborations. The employment

This employment is a temporary contract of two years with the possibility of extension up to a total maximum of three years. The employment is full-time.
