International student ambassador

The position

At Linköping University we embrace innovative thinking. Constantly challenging ourselves has been our strongest motivator ever since we opened our doors in 1975. We are driven by seeking answers beyond the traditional and across subject boundaries. If you are too, we would like to see you at our university. Together we can find solutions to the challenges of the day. 

The Communications and Marketing Division at Linköping University is responsible for marketing our international degree programmes towards potential students. We use several channels such as web, social media, events, phone calls, printed material and personal meetings. 

We are looking for up to 12 international degree students from all over the world who, on a part-time basis, will assist us with content creation. Payment will be issued based on hours worked, which may vary throughout the year. The work might include “out of office hours.”  

Task may include: 

• Write blog posts about international student experiences here at Linköping University
• Manage our Instagram account
• Record YouTube-videos about life as a student in Sweden/Linköping University

The following ad-hoc activities are also expected as and when available: 

• Assist with marketing activities such as events, webinars, podcasts, telephone campaigns, contacting potential students from your country of origin or others who are specifically interested in your programme
• Alumni recruitment activities
• Evaluation of different marketing activities, for example being part of focus group(s) to evaluate marketing material and communication from LiU
• Tasks for the International Office, such as welcome activities

Other tasks may also be available.

The person we need

We are looking for students currently studying on an international programme at LiU who love to create engaging content. This means you should have content creating skills, such as writing, photography, graphics and filmmaking and experience of communication in social media (image, film and writing). You should expect to give @ linkoping.university access to your personal social media upon request. To a lesser extent some experience of project management is desirable. As a general rule, you need good social skills and an ability to shoulder responsibility on your own. 

The employment

The hourly payment will be according to existing rules and regulations for hourly rates at Linköping University. Starting date is October 2024.
