The department of Computer Science and Engineering is a fully integrated department with the University of Gothenburg and Chalmers University of Technology as principles. The department offer courses in a broad range of subjects. During the fall semester the department offers around ninety courses on BSc- and MSc-level.

The department of Computer Science and Engineering is looking for amanuens/teaching assistant for the fall semester 2024 to work with courses within the fields of Computer Network and Systems, Computing Science and Interaction Design.

Job assignments

As an amanuens/teaching assistant, you will work with helping and supporting teachers with practical elements in the different courses. This could for example be lab and exercise tutoring. You will have regular contact with the teachers about which elements and practical moments you can be of help within.

Computer network and systems
DAT105/DIT051 Computer architecture, course language is English, campus Johanneberg. We are looking for 1 amanuens

EDA387/DIT671 Computer networks, course language is English, campus Johanneberg. We are looking for 2 amanuens
EDA093/DIT401 Operating systems, course language is English, campus Johanneberg. We are looking for 2 amanuens

Computing Science
TDA555/DIT441 Introduction to functional programming, course language is English, campus Johanneberg. We are looking for 2 amanuens

Interaction Design
DAT375/DIT461 Game development project, course language is English, campus Lindholmen. We are looking for 1 amanuens
CLS055/DIT075 Mobile computing - design and implementation, course language is English, campus Lindholmen. We are looking for 2 amanuens

Qualifications

To be qualified for the position you are an active student at University of Gothenburg or Chalmers University of Technology, preferably studying in one of the institution's BSc or MSc level programmes.
To be qualified for the position in a course you should have passed either the same or a similar course.
To be qualified for the position you should have good knowledge in the language used in the courses you apply for, that is, English and/or Swedish, both spoken and written.

it is a merit to have completed related continuation courses.
It is also a merit if you have experience of teaching and are skilled in instructing and helping people in a pedagogical way.

Additional information

Since the Department of Computer Science and Engineering is a joint department the employment can be placed at the University of Gothenburg or Chalmers University of Technology. We only accept applications in the manner described in the advertisement.
