At the Institute of Neuroscience and Physiology, at the Sahlgrenska Academy, we conduct research and education covering a wide range of knowledge areas. The institute comprises five different departments: Clinical neuroscience, Health and rehabilitation, Pharmacology, Physiology as well as Psychiatry and neurochemistry.

The Institute of Neuroscience and Physiology invites applications for a researcher position at the Department of Clinical Neuroscience.

The job is within the research group of Rehabilitation medicine. Interdisciplinary research is the dominating approach in the group with a person-centered perspective. The different conditions that are explored by the group are mainly within neurorehabilitation; stroke, traumatic brain injury, late effect of polio, cardiac arrest, cerebral palsy but there is also research regarding pain as well as hemophilia. Most of the members are also employed by the region and work both with research and healthcare.

Duties

Quantitative research in Rehabilitation Medicine, particularly in physical activity for cerebrovascular diseases.

Qualifications

Licensed physician and doctorate in medical faculty are mandatory. Desirable qualifications include personal experience in quantitative research related to stroke patients and experience in supervision is also desirable.

Applicants should be self-reliant in their work approach, possess good collaboration skills, and enjoy working in a research organization. We value precision, strong communication, administrative, and strategic abilities. Great importance will be placed on personal suitability.

Employment

The employment is hourly based and limited (temporary) for 11 months. You will work on hours when needed. The employment is placed at the Institute of Neuroscience and Physiology. Starting date: as soon as possible or as agreed.
