The Department of Conservation offers professional degree programs and research on issues of cultural heritage, landscapes, cultural environments, buildings, gardens, cultural historical objects, and interiors. In Gothenburg, we offer degree programs for building preservationists, conservators, and leaders in the field of traditional handicrafts. Job assignments

The post involves teaching a course related to Conservation of paintings. You will be asked to coordinate, design and deliver lectures and practical sessions in relation to conservation of paintings. You will also supervise students in the laboratory.


Qualifying to be employed as a visiting lecturer is the one who has demonstrated pedagogical skills and has undergone university education at advanced level or has equivalent skills or other skills relevant to the conservation of paintings. 

The applicant should have a Master’s in Conservation with a specialization in conservation of paintings. We would like you to have experience of practical conservation work . Teaching experience and work experience in Sweden will be considered an advantage.

You should have good knowledge in Swedish or English. 

Language of instruction will be Swedish or English.
