Musculoskeletal Radiology is a research group within the Department of Radiology at the Institute of Clinical Sciences, Sahlgrenska Academy, University of Gothenburg. The group conducts research and collaborates with clinical partners and other research environments, with a focus on imaging diagnostics of diseases and injuries of the musculoskeletal system, such as tumors, traumatic injuries, inflammation, and infections. The work is carried out in close collaboration with clinical practice and other research settings, with the aim of developing and evaluating methods that can improve diagnostics and patient benefit. We are looking for a student who would like to work with project and data support within Musculoskeletal Radiology alongside their studies.
Duties
As a teaching assistant in musculoskeletal radiology at the Department of Radiology, you will provide project support and contribute to the ongoing work within a research project. The role includes collecting, structuring, and compiling project materials, as well as updating and quality-assuring information in the project’s workspaces, databases, and templates. The work also involves systematic handling of documentation and materials in accordance with project routines and guidelines, along with preparing basic summaries and supporting documents for the project team. In addition, the position includes providing practical and administrative support in connection with project activities and internal processes. You will work closely with the project’s researchers and administrative staff, contributing to the structured and quality-assured progress of the work.
Qualifications
To be eligible for the position as a teaching assistant, you must be enrolled in a first-cycle (undergraduate) or second-cycle (master’s) programme. The position requires a strong ability to work in a structured and meticulous manner with information, as well as excellent written communication skills in both Swedish and English. You should also have good computer skills and be able to work independently based on given instructions and established routines.
Experience working in a research environment, particularly within medicine or radiology, is considered an asset. It is also advantageous to have knowledge of or an interest in musculoskeletal radiology and/or experience working with databases, data management, or quality assurance of documentation. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability, with particular importance given to strong collaboration skills and a responsible approach to work.
Employment
The employment is limited (temporary) for 12 months, 25 % of full-time and is placed at the Institute of Clinical Sciences, Radiology and Imaging. Starting date; On agreement.
