At the Institute of Neuroscience and Physiology, at the Sahlgrenska Academy, we conduct research and education covering a wide range of knowledge areas. The institute comprises five different departments: Clinical neuroscience, Health and rehabilitation, Pharmacology, Physiology as well as Psychiatry and neurochemistry.
The Institute of Neuroscience and Physiology invites applications for a researcher position at the Department of Clinical neuroscience.
The Department of Clinical neuroscience conducts pediatric eye research with focus on the visual system development and the department is looking for a researcher specializing in retinopathy of prematurity.
Duties
The researcher will study and review prevention, prediction, and treatment for retinopathy of prematurity.
Qualifications
A requirement for employment is that the researcher holds a PhD in ophthalmology. It is also a requirement to be able to communicate well in English and Swedish, in writing. The applicant must have good knowledge and clinical experience in pediatric ophthalmology and especially clinical experience in the diagnosis of retinopathy of prematurity. It is desirable if the applicant has experience working both in healthcare and in academia. The applicant should be autonomous in her/his work, have good interpersonal skills and enjoy working in a research organization. We appreciate that you are accurate. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
Employment
The employment is limited (temporary) for 11 månader, 15% of full-time, and is placed at the Institute of Neuroscience and Physiology. Starting date: as soon as possible or as agreed.
