The Department of Philosophy, Linguistics and Theory of Science at the Faculty of Humanities has around 120 employees and a teaching volume that includes around 350 full-year students. Many large national and international research projects are underway here. Our education includes philosophy, logic, linguistics, language technology, theory of science and liberal arts. The department also conducts research training and development work in these areas.

We are looking for one or several lab assistants who can supervise labs and course projects, as well as grade lab assignments in the international Language Technology program (MLT) H2LTG.

Duties 

Supervise lab sessions and grade lab assignments based on SpeechState.

Qualifications 

We are looking for a person (or persons) who have good knowledge in English as well as knowledge of dialogue systems corresponding to LT2216/LT2816 Dialogue Systems, see info here, including SpeechState.

Experience working with SpeechState and the ability to teach and supervise on SpeechState is a merit.

Employment 

Intermittent employment. The number of hours you'll end up with can vary but will likely be around 40-60 hours in total.

The person selected for the position may be offered hours from January 13, 2025, to the end of April 2025. Each offer is a separate employment occasion, and you have the right to accept or decline each offer. Each accepted work occasion constitutes a new employment agreement/decision.

The hourly wage is 140 SEK per hour. 

Payment will be made in the month after the work has been scheduled. Compensation for inconvenient working hours is not provided (outside weekdays from 07:00 to 19:00) unless specifically stated in the individual offers that the work will be scheduled during inconvenient hours.
