Amanuens within research in Software Engineering, Requirements engineering for AI-based systems

The department of Computer Science and Engineering is a fully integrated department with the University of Gothenburg and Chalmers University of Technology as principles. The department offers courses in a broad range of subjects.

The department of Computer Science and Engineering is now looking for amanuens within research in the field of Requirements engineering for AI-based systems. The work will be performed with a start date in December 2024 until the end of June 2025.

The assignment shall support synergies between two active research projects: The Vinnova FFI Famer project, which aims to establish a requirements engineering approach for safety critical automotive perception systems, and a Software Center Project “Engineering Knowledge Flows”, which aims to manage engineering knowledge in large scale agile systems development. The Textual Requirements System (TReqS, https://gitlab.com/treqs-on-git/treqs-ng) is an open source, git-based requirements tool that allows to demonstrate key accomplishments in both projects.

Job assignments

When working in a research project, you will work with helping and supporting senior researchers with practical elements of their research project. This could for example include setting up empirical studies, collecting and maintaining data, data analysis tasks or programming tasks. You will have regular contact with the researcher about which elements and practical moments you can be of help within.

Qualifications

To be qualified for the position

- You are an active student at bachelor or master level studying in one of the institution’s BSc or MSc level programmes at the University of Gothenburg or Chalmers University of Technology

- Basic to good programming skills

- You should have good knowledge in English and Swedish, both spoken and written.

- You need to be in Gothenburg, Sweden during the time for your employment.

- Experience with Python is a merit

- Basic to good levels of experience with git and gitlab is a merit

We will make an overall assessment where great importance will be placed on personal suitability.
