At the Institute of Neuroscience and Physiology, at the Sahlgrenska Academy, we conduct research and education covering a wide range of knowledge areas. The institute comprises five different departments: Clinical neuroscience, Health and rehabilitation, Pharmacology, Physiology as well as Psychiatry and neurochemistry.

The Institute of Neuroscience and Physiology invites applications for a Researcher in pharmacology, in particular in neuropharmacology, at the Department of Pharmacology. The employee will conduct research within the subject area. Teaching and some administration may also be included.

Duties

The researcher is expected to conduct research within the area of neuropharmacology with a special focus on Parkinson’s disease. Supervision of PhD students and teaching of pharmacology may also be included in the position.

Qualifications

Achieved doctoral degree in a subject area relevant for the job assignments is required, as well as a high degree of competence and long experience within this area and within pharmacology in general. Comprehensive experience of teaching is desired. Administrative skills are also a merit. Great importance will be placed on personal suitability.

Employment

The employment is limited (temporary) for 11 months, 20% of full-time, and is placed at the Institute of Neuroscience and Physiology. Starting date: as soon as possible or as agreed.
