The Department of Molecular and Clinical Medicine, at the Institute of Medicine, conducts translational research primarily on metabolism, diabetes, obesity and cardiovascular disease in order to improve health and healthcare in the community. The overall goal is to create an excellent translational research environment of a very high international standard.

The profile of the research performed by Group Jansson and Group Redfors lean very much on metabolism, in particular studies of adipose tissue and cardiac metabolism in humans.  

Job assignments

Doing laboratory analyses, work in cell culture, running Western-Blots and qPCR, take an independent role in metabolic studies on mice and monitoring of human subjects in clinical experimental studies. 

Qualifications

The applicant has a PhD in a relevant subject. Doctorate and a diploma from the University, be well acquainted with the described job tasks and shall report experience from duties in a translational research environment. It is meritorious to report previous work with animal models, cell culture, occurring routine analyses in a laboratory profiled on metabolism as well as monitoring of volunteers participating in clinical and experimental studies.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability. We are looking for a person easy to work with and documentation from previous work in laboratories and clinical research.
