The Department of Molecular and Clinical Medicine, at the Institute of Medicine, conducts translational research primarily on metabolism, diabetes, obesity and cardiovascular disease in order to improve health and healthcare in the community. The overall goal is to create an excellent translational research environment of a very high international standard.
We now want to recruit a postdoctor to analyze large amounts of data in clinical trials, and to study lipid metabolism with stable isotopes.
Subject area description
Analysis of large amounts of data from clinical studies and kinetics studies of lipid metabolism. Particular focus is on postprandial lipid metabolism and on studies that clarify how unusual genetic variants affect lipid metabolism.
Statistical analysis, bioinformatics, and multicompartment analysis postprandial lipoprotein metabolism in kinetic studies with stable isotopes.
To qualify as a postdoctoral researcher the applicant should hold a PhD in a relevant subject. Since postdoctoral constitutes a qualifying appointment for junior researchers, we aim to target those who have a doctoral degree not older than 3 years from the application deadline.
PhD in a topic relevant to the job assignments. Extensive experience in statistical analyzes, bioinformatics, and multicompartment analysis (SAAM II) of kinetic studies with stable isotopes are requirements for the postdoc position. The applicant's personal suitability is of great importance. Proficiency in English (writing and talking) is a requirement.
