At the Institute of Neuroscience and Physiology, at the Sahlgrenska Academy, we conduct research and education covering a wide range of knowledge areas. The institute comprises five different departments: Clinical Neuroscience, Health and Rehabilitation, Pharmacology, Physiology and Psychiatry and Neurochemistry.

The Institute of Neuroscience and Physiology, invites applications for a researcher position in pharmacology, in particular in neuropharmacologyat the Department of Pharmacology. The employee will conduct research within the subject area. Also teaching and some administration may be included.

Job assignments

The researcher is expected to conduct research within the area of neuropharmacology with a special focus on Parkinson’s disease, also supervision of PhD students and teaching of pharmacology may be included in the position.

Qualifications

An achieved doctoral degree in a subject area relevant for the job assignments is required, as is a high degree of competence and long experience within this area and within pharmacology in general. Comprehensive experience of teaching is desired, also administrative skills are a merit. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

Employment

The employment is limited (temporary) for 24 months, 20% of full-time and is placed at the Institute of Neuroscience and Physiology. Starting date; as soon as possible or as agreed.
