Researcher in metabolic diseases

The Institute of Clinical Sciences is one of six Institutes within Sahlgrenska Academy at the University of Gothenburg. We conduct research and education that puts people's health and quality of life in focus. We represent 16 different research areas and are divided into four sections. Through a fruitful collaboration with the healthcare and Sahlgrenska University Hospital, we have developed joint projects and meeting places that benefits both health care and research

Our research group studies brain and behaviour in endocrine and metabolic diseases and we are looking for a researcher. You will have a broad role within the project that focus on brain health in inherited metabolic diseases. Our aim is to map brain structure, function and cognitive abilities in these patients on the long-term, especially in relation to their treatment and disease severity. The project is part of a national study and a collaborative project between University of Gothenburg and Karolinska Institutet. 

Duties 

As researcher will you will have a broad role within the project that focus on brain health in metabolic diseases. You will recruit participants (both children and adults), coordinate their visit to the test center, perform cognitive testing and participate in fMRI scanning of the brain.  

Qualifications 

For the position is an achieved doctoral degree in relevant subject and master in Psychology compulsory. A clinical license is mandatory. Experience in recruiting research participants for participation in clinical studies and experience in neurocognitive testing. Good knowledge in Swedish and English. 

Employment 

The employment is limited (temporary) until 2024-12-31, 100 % of full-time and is placed at the Institute of Clinical Sciences, the department of Pediatrics. Starting date; 2024-08-12
