Product Manager Footwear is a key role in the product team and will oversee and support a wide range of tasks and business areas. You will be part of a small team creating best-in-class product collections for the international market; building sustainable product solutions, strengthening and driving the brand forward; managing all information management tools; supporting internal and external stakeholders; including marketing and sales. 

Key responsibilities

Design & development

  • Be the link between Helly Hansen and Sourcing Company for colors and materials.
  • Oversee product testing, fit, sizing, product specifications, finishes, materials and colors

Product data generation & population

  • Product data generation & data input; be the link between product, marketing, and Sourcing (Centric, Anaplan)

Quality control

  • Monitor quality process during and after product development (quality/material/color/fit) 
  • Feedback and confirmation process leading up Production

Product testing

  • Fit and wear test of samples; Performance testing testing crew/professionals and athletes; Follow up, report back and improve on seasonal developments with Sourcing Partner

Marketing 

  • Work with Design Director and Marketing team on product content; Product data, values, technologies, descriptions, etc.
  • Content for Salesmeeting catalogues/digital catalogues/product fact sheets, etc.
  • Write content creation briefs for marketing based on category/season/concept/activity, and facilitate samples for seasonal photo shoots

Sourcing

  • Work with Sourcing Partner, Purchase & planning team and CVP on Line Plans and Product line adjustments

Color

  • Work with color team on seasonal colors. Align with Brand categories on concepts and prints in order to create cross merchandized collections (Apparel and footwear) Create/generate and amend Color CAD’s with Design Director/CVP

Materials 

  • Key stakeholder for the footwear materials library (Link with Sourcing partner)

Timeline

  • Be the key stakeholder and align calendar and deadline dates for all deliverables; product data input, product testing, CSAR confirmation, color confirmation, Sample order and deliveries

Sustainability 

  • Work with sustainability director and CSR/compliance on footwear related information/data/requirements

Presentations 

  • Generate presentations (Together CVP & Design Director) on Product, Sustainability, Seasonal Colors/Prints

Samples

  • Manage all footwear samples (Line Reviews, Salesman samples, Confirmation Samples etc) Organize sample shipments, and align with & assist sales with Internal sample sale and setting-up of The Oslo showroom

Experience and skills

  • Minimum 3-4 years experience working with product Management, Sourcing/Product Development, Category Management
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher, or a combination of relevant education, experience and training
  • Computer skills: Centric/Anaplan, Microsoft Powerpoint, Word, Excel, Acrobat (knowledge of Illustrator/Photoshop is a pluss)
  • Good interpersonal skills in a multicultural environment
  • Fluent in written and spoken English

Travel requirements: Ability to travel, including potential international travel (approx 2-4 travels per year). 

This position is a full-time temporary employment at our Oslo Headquarters. Duration 12 months covering maternity leave.
