We are seeking a JR Product Specialist (temp) to develop innovative, quality and technically advanced garments that will excite and fulfil the current and future needs of our customers.

Role

  • 1 year contract in Professional Services. 
  • JR Product Specialist working on technical garments.
  • The work is project based and high focus on customer relations and teamwork are required.

Main responsibilities within Development

  • To produce and update drawings and tech packs according to technical specifications rules, area of responsibility.
  • To Create  and update collection style boards according to brief.
  • To develop products according to allocation, brief, timelines, company quality standards and certification standards.
  • To develop original products in accordance with HH product philosophy, seasonal briefs and category specific requirements and expectations.
  • To contribute and actively take part in product creation to fit a realistic and efficient development and production process.
  • To contribute and actively take part in the fit and pattern development process for allocated products.
  • To contribute and actively take part in the critique process for construction, function, and sizing, for prototypes and sales sample, and pre-production sample on allocated styles.
  • To produce and update drawings and tech packs according to technical specifications rules, area of responsibility.
  • To Create  and update collection style boards according to brief.
  • To provide all internal and external partners with necessary product info according to given timelines or upon request.
  • To take part and contribute to internal- and external presentations and presentation material, briefings and product reviews if asked to.
  • To carry out other related duties and instructions as required by Team Manager or other such Manager.
  • To do any necessary vendor communication.
  • To stay updated on market news & development, competitor products, Key Account assortments and other critical product info related to allocated categories.
  • To possibly plan for and do traveling necessary for the execution of allocated products.

Knowledge, skills and experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Apparel/Textile Design, or similar.
  • 1+ years’ experience in product development, favorable but not mandatory.
    • Knowledge of apparel design, construction, materials, pattern making, costing and bill of materials.
  • Good communication and collaboration skills.
  • Good team player.
  • Good attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Fluent in English. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office/Abode Illustrator/(PLM).
  • Interest or involvement in activities relating to the products Helly Hanses produces.

  • Design and development team. Pattern and material team.
  • Suppliers– building and maintaining excellent working relationships with suppliers development/merchandising teams to develop world class products. 
  • Customers- Participate and support in meetings with important customers and partners.

This position is a temporary full-time employment at our Oslo Headquarters, but working remote from time to time can be agreed.
