Chief Security Officer

SSC is on an exciting journey helping Earth benefit from Space. As Chief Security Officer (CSO) at SSC you will be a key player in this journey protecting both SSC, customers and the business from security risks and threats. In addition to leading and developing the security function you will be part of SSC Group Executive Management (Executive Committee) and collaborate with the other members of the EC in order to make SSC the link between earth and space.

As CSO you will lead the strategic security agenda for the group with responsibility for personnel security, physical security, information security as well as management of security incident and crises response. As this is a new function in the EC, one of your main tasks will be to define roles and responsibilities within the Security function as well as to review structures related to governance and collaboration. Through influential leadership in a global matrix organization you will secure compliance as well as shape a company culture which is permeated by security. Together with your team you will ensure that security is a natural part of SSCs daily business.

As CSO you will report to the CEO and be part of the Executive Committee. The role is placed at SSCs offices in Solna, however the role will involve travel to Kiruna as well as some global travel.

 Background & Experience

• Extensive experience from security related work, mainly in large national or international organizations.
• Experience of working with Personnel Security, Physical Security and Information Security.
• Expertise in security management, systems and procedures or equivalent.
• Experience from distributed security leadership and excellent networking skills.
• Proven ability to lead team efforts solving complex problems, also under stressful situations.
• Knowledge in applying the Swedish protective security act.
• Good personal network to SE security agencies.
• Experience from working with international security bodies are positive.
• Knowledge of and/or experience from managing export control regulations from a security perspective. 
• Swedish citizenship.

You have extensive expertise and experience regarding security, including procedures and systems, as well as how to make security a natural and integrated part of the business. You have strong collaborative skills as well as formidable organizational and analytical abilities. You thrive in changing and complex environments and you have the ability to prioritize and make decisions based on complex information. You are a good listener and communicator who puts the team effort before the individual and have a global and holistic forward-looking mind-set.
