To understand the oil flow and drag loss requirements for a multiplate clutch pack in connect and disconnect.

Assignment description
- Set up a multibody simulation of the clutch pack
- Couple it with fluid flow simulation
- Perform a study to understand the and drag loss in the clutch pack
- Understand the limitations
- Scope for improvement and optimization

Goal
Develop a multibody simulation of a clutch pack model the connect and disconnect mode. Couple the MBS with fluid flow simulation to understand the basic oil flow in the clutch pack and determine the drag loss. Lay out the limitations and scope for improvements for the model developed.

Education
M.Sc in Engineering Mechanics or similar. Interest in automotive industry. Knowledge and skills required in basic multibody simulation, oil flow simulations and programming.
Software: MSC Adams, scFlow, Altair Hypermesh

20 weeks.
